Courthouse Hotel Cairns

Since our arrival in September 2004 we have made many changes to this fine and beautiful building. We have re-vamped, re-painted, re-furnished, re-staffed and re-organised the Hotel back to what it was when it was when originally renovated. Our intention has been to bring this beautiful building back to its grand glory days of yesteryear.

In early 2000 the Ray Group renovated the Courthouse into a Hotel. This was an iconic building for the people of Cairns to be proud of, but when the Ray group sold the Hotel in 2002, it was decided to turn it into a night club and in this period much damage was done to both the local patronage, the building and the gardens.

In September 2004 we arrived, owner’s number three. Between the two of us we have over 50 years experience in the Hotel industry and we set to work to bring the Hotel back to it’s original beauty. Gone is the nightclub, the loud music, the black windows, the disco lighting, the massive speakers and most importantly, Gone are the bad attitudes and bad service.

We now have a beautiful grand Hotel here in Cairns for all the locals to enjoy. A clean, safe, friendly Hotel which you can again call your own and be proud of. We are here for the long haul and we will endeavour to make The Courthouse Hotel Cairns one of Queensland’s best.
